Why choose this range
Practical flooring advice before product selection.
Accessories are not an afterthought. Underlay, trims, profiles and door bars can affect comfort, movement, sound, durability and the final appearance.
Cleaner transitions between rooms
Better comfort and sound control with the right underlay
Protection at exposed edges
Improved doorway and stair finish
More professional completed appearance
Finishing the floor
Choose profiles and accessories around the actual junction.
The correct item depends on the two adjoining surfaces, their finished heights, the opening, edge detail and installation method. Confirm measurements and compatibility before ordering.
Edges and exposed ends
Plan the required protection and finish before the floor is fitted.
Stairs and feature details
Confirm the construction, dimensions and intended fixing from verified product data.
Complete-room planning
Coordinate profiles, gripper and other customer-facing accessories with the flooring and preparation scope.
Profile selector
Start with the transition you need to solve.
| Situation | Check | Selection evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Same-height doorway | Both floor types, finished thickness and opening width. | Verified profile compatibility and dimensions. |
| Height change | Measured difference between finished surfaces. | Verified profile range and fixing method. |
| Exposed edge | Floor construction, edge position and expected traffic. | Verified edge or end-profile purpose. |
| Stair detail | Exact stair, flooring and intended finish. | Verified product identity, size and installation guidance. |
Measure before ordering
Record the opening, adjoining floors and finished levels.
Identify the junction
Record what meets on each side and where the profile will sit.
Measure the finished condition
Check length, floor build-up, height change and clearance rather than the bare opening alone.
Confirm before cutting
Use the selected product specification and professional advice for uncertain or bespoke details.
Installation planning
Make the detail part of the flooring specification.
Profiles and accessories should be selected before fitting so floor heights, edges, fixings and door clearances can be coordinated. Follow the exact product instructions; do not assume one fixing method or profile suits every substrate.
Accessory questions
Frequently asked questions.
How do I choose the right door profile?
Confirm both adjoining floor types, their finished heights, the opening and the verified profile specification.
Can a profile solve any height difference?
No. The permitted transition and fixing method are product-specific.
Should accessories be ordered with the floor?
Usually yes, because the complete junction and finished floor height can then be planned together.
Installer-led advice
Measure first if the room is not straightforward.
Accessories should be checked against the flooring type, subfloor height, threshold detail and fitting plan before ordering.
Common questions
Answers before you browse.
Can Arra Flooring measure before I order?
Yes. Dave can bring selected samples where available, measure the room, assess the subfloor and provide a supplied-and-fitted quotation.
Which trims do I need?
It depends on the floor type, doorway, height change and finish required. Dave can confirm this during the measure.
Can accessories be fitted with the flooring?
Yes. Accessories should usually be planned as part of the installation rather than bought as an afterthought.

Review products, then ask for advice before ordering if unsure.
For fitted projects, Dave can confirm measurements, selected samples where available, subfloor preparation, trims and timescales before you commit.
Complete the flooring system
What else might the room need?
The surface flooring is only one part of a successful installation. Use these next steps to identify what may be needed, then ask Arra Flooring where product or subfloor compatibility is not yet confirmed.
Identify both floor finishes
Carpet-to-carpet, carpet-to-tile, laminate-to-tile, LVT and reducer details require the exact surfaces on each side of the junction.
Ask Arra FlooringMeasure the finished heights
Profile type and size depend on the finished floor heights, edge detail, doorway or stair location and fixing method.
Book Free MeasureChoose the visible finish
Once compatibility is confirmed, colour and finish can be chosen to suit the adjoining floor and room details.
